Our house, located at 937 Caledonia Ave. in Victoria BC, was built in 1902 and has been in my family since the early 1970’s, when my dad purchased it from his landlord. In those days, a community of free spirited individuals lived communally in the house.

Today, the house belongs to my brother and I, and this blog chronicles our experiences fixing up and maintaining the house, growing our own food, and looking after our heritage fruit trees.
